UNITED REIGNITES INTEREST IN PORTO WINGER

With the transfer window gradually drawing near, Manchester united's radar has caught up with 21 year- old Colombian international James Rodriguez.Manchester United have been told that they must spend big if they want to land the in-demand Porto starlet during the January transfer window.

Reports has it that the Manchester United boss sent scouts to watch the Colombian international who has been dubbed the new 'Cristiano Ronaldo' in action for Porto on Friday night, but has now been left stunned by the Portuguese club's asking price.

Ironically Porto have informed Manchester United that it will cost £36 million to trigger the release clause in the contract, having initially been told £24 million would be enough to buy the 21-year old out of his deal, SAF will have to spend almost three times as much on Rodriguez as he did when Ronaldo signed for Manchester United in 2003.

The arrival of Rodriguez will certainly mean the way out for Luis Nani who Ferguson publicly critized for the Capital one cup defeat at Chelsea, will Fergie roll out the cash to boost his power playing attack? only time will tell.
